Today’s review is of American Death Metal band Nesbitt’s demos.
This total of 8 tracks has a touch of darkness that is often omitted in Death Metal and that may sometimes approach the sonority ever so slightly towards Black Death Metal. Enhanced by the raw recording quality, this release does not plunge the composition directly into mindless violence, but rather creates an equally extreme yet powerful sound that may remind of Swedish bands like Carnage.
These short and concise songs have an absolutely old-school feeling attached to themselves, bringing to mind the early demos of great Death Metal bands. My personal highlights are “Carcass Of Man” and “Gods Among Us”.
I recommend this album to fans of Death Metal. My rating is of 8,5/10. - Bathory'Zine
