A melodic death metal solo project from Poland, Kromheim was established in 2020 and is right up the fjord for fans of Amon Amarth, Dark Tranquility and other Viking style metal bands.

Featuring 4 tracks showcasing different styles that take you on a journey and leaves you wanting more. The music is fundamentally melodic death with some wonderful elements that make it sonically its own. The main similarity through the E.P. is the groove of each track. There’s nothing I love more than metal that makes you want to get up and move, and these will have you fighting to sit still.

Overall I really enjoyed this E.P. The only thing that would make it better for me would be a little background on the subject matter of the songs as it’s hard to discern just exactly what they’re about since the vocals are not clean and a bit subdued for the genre. This isn’t a huge problem but there’s clearly a story being told. I definitely await a full album drop!! For glory, for Valahalla!!

Established in 2020, Kromheim draws its influences mostly from bands such as Hypocrisy , Kalmah , Amon Amarth , Dark Tranquillity all the way to Dissection .

The Kromheim EP features 4 songs with different dynamics. The 2020 Covid-19 lockdown seemed like the perfect opportunity to finally record and release this music to the world.
