APOKRISIS is a Progressive Death / Thrash Metal band from São Paulo, formed in 2007, in São Paulo / SP, by vocalist Rodrigo Sanner and guitarist Evandro Bezerra, under the proposal of seeking different musical elements and creating a technical, aggressive sound, mainly with own identity. It has gone through several formations since its foundation, but since 2013 the band has remained intact and solid, striving for unity and cohesion. It was only ten years after the start of activities that the first singles were officially recorded: “Quantum Messiah” (2017) and “Memories” (2018), widely publicized. In 2020, things started to move, even with the # COVID19 pandemic haunting everyone, with the release of two singles, “Absinthe From The Gods” and “The Psalm Of Mankind Decadence”, both very well received by fans and critics specialized, paving the way for the release of the long-awaited debut album “Misanthropy” !

“Misanthropy” was produced, mixed and mastered in a crystalline, modern and monstrous way by the experienced producers Michel Villares and Ricky Franco (co-production), both M&H Studio , and with beautiful cover art by Emerson Bezerra . There are 9 vibrant tracks that combine strength, technique, melody and aggressiveness in an exquisite way and with quality worthy of the first world. Surrounded by a lot of energy and ambiences, they cohesively united the extraordinary weight of the most modern Death / Thrash Metal from bands like Arch Enemy, Into Eternity, and Nevermore, with generous hints of Heavy / Power Metal from Iced Earth (mainly in harmonies, vocals and solos) and the structures full of rhythmic grooves / rhythms from Dream Theater's progressive metal. "Misanthorpy", for now, is only found on traditional streaming platforms, but the band is studying ways of physical release for very soon.
