How did I get to know the band: This band was brought to my attention by Metal Devastation Radio, so let's listen to it all. 

How do I find the record: I really like it. So let's listen:

THE CURSE OF SABDA PALON starts with a really nasty sawing guitar, which keeps building up and which is soon followed by the drums and bass. Psychotic and cool this instrumental intro.

AGENDA PERPUTARAN JAGAD RAYA steps on the gas, but doesn't neglect the psychotic and brings in a lot of toughness. The vocals are pitched a bit softly, but sound really brutal. In the second half it gets a bit melodic, but just the right amount.

HASUT, JERAT, BUNUH starts quietly, but shortly afterwards it really starts. It's a bit more in the direction of Thrash here, the vocals are more angry shouting than dark growls, but none of that harms the song. Psychotic guitars can be heard over and over again and give the song a sick note.

AMBIGU KUASA is probably the fastest song on the album. Here the guys really show what they can do. High tempo, even in the quieter passages and again absolutely dark growls that you couldn't ask for better.

HUTAN HUJAN DARAH strikes a quieter tone at first, but then the madness breaks out here. It sounds like an ancient deity is giving free rein to its anger.

SIASAT SANG MAHA PATIH PARIPURNA works with some reverb at the beginning, before noises like from a temple at a ceremony can be heard. Here, too, there are neat psychotic guitar lines on the ears and of course the finest bangs. My favorite on the album.

SABDA 13 (GEMURUH AIR PULUHAM RIBU DOSA) doesn't dwell on an intro, but rather gives the listener a decent broadside. So the guys from Indonesia can do death metal.

DANG HYANG SABDA PALON starts almost psychedelic, with a bright bell and the scream of a raven. Then the song is unleashed and here it even almost goes in the direction of grindcore. Really cool.

SIRNA ILANG KERTANING BUMI opens with spoken words before the song itself begins. It's really heavy here. Heavy lead and with really crisp solos. Some bands could learn a thing or two about that.

DREAMING IN RED ends the album quite calmly and with an acoustic guitar. After that, however, it continues with a decent amount of distortion. Quite melodic, but by no means soft. A successful end to the album.

Conclusion: So here we have a band that is really worth a second look. Nasty Death Metal from Indonesia with really strong guitar work. A clear recommendation for deathheads, including the old school. Here you can listen: - Full Metal Mayhem

A story from the age of kings in Java dwipa; the great Majapahit kingdom, about 1294-1478. An unwritten tale comes to us from the end of the kingdom's golden years; that a kingdom as great and luxurious as Majapahit can fall apart and disappear without a trace!

War broke out due to a power struggle, the outcome was a religious revolution which caused the split of the kingdom.
Sabda Palon was an honorable advisor to the king of Majapahit who led and gave advice for the benefit of the Kingdom's prosperity.

However, during the rule of King Bre Kertabumi/Brawijaya V (of the fifth generation of Brawijaya rulers) at the end of the fourteenth century, the counsellor's advice fell on deaf ears. Eventually, war broke out and the kingdom was invaded.

At last, the king bowed down to the enemy and was helpless. The people of the kingdom and the advisor were heartbroken by the king's decision. The king's advisor, Sabda Palon, swore an oath. The 13th curse of the oath, which was believed already to have happened several times before, describes a flood. In this flood, people will lose everything: family, wealth, even their lives. Everything will disappear, swallowed by the flood. This 13th curse will happen and hit civilization when the pattern of humanity's behavior exceeds their provision.
