THE BEAST

Markus Fortunato is a self-taught bassist-singer from Lyon (France)  who has been involved in the local metal underground since the late 80s.

Released at the end of 2012, the concept-album "Fortunato Liberty" is a logical continuation of his former band "MZ" of which he was the leader and which he had formed in 1999. This band had released 7 albums between 2000 and 2010.

In the spring of 2015, the band released their second album "Restless Fire" under the Brennus label. This opus further affirms the melodic sense and maturity of the band's compositions.

On these two recordings and even more on stage, the music of the band will invite you to a timeless journey in hard-rock sometimes powerful, sometimes melodic.

After several line-up changes, the band is currently composed of Seb Vallée on guitars, David Amore on drums and Markus on bass and vocals.

The third album "Insurgency" will be released in spring 2021 and this recording confirms even more that the universe of the band is between neo-classical metal and a very vitaminized AOR! A fine mixture of various melodic hard-rock tendencies.
