TRILLIONAIRE: Decibel Magazine Premieres "The Golden Goat" From Dark Progressive Rock Collective; Romulus Debut Nears Release Through Nefarious Industries

American dark progressive rock collective TRILLIONAIRE is preparing to release its debut album, Romulus, through Nefarious Industries at the end of the month. With its release date looming, Decibel Magazine is hosting an exclusive premiere of the new single, "The Golden Goat."

Awakening the ghosts of prog rock, and imbuing them with renewed and unfettered dark ambition, TRILLIONAIRE's bold, shimmering sound is created by a group of veterans hailing from a wide array of prominent US rock and metal bands. The group's Romulus debut features a notable cast of contributors, uniting vocalist Renee Fontaine, bassist Matt St. Gelais, drummer Phil DuBois (Fuligin, ex-Revocation), and the triple-guitar attack of Andrew LaCour (Inter Arma, ex-Ken Mode), Drew Storks, and Kevin Savage, with live bass provided by Greg Meisenberg (Maid Myriad, A Fucking Elephant) and additional live guitar by Connor Harvey.

Romulus was engineered by Mikey Allred (Inter Arma, Yautja) at Dark Art Audio in Nashville, with the vocals recorded by John Taft at New Alliance in Boston. The record was mixed by Matt Bayles at Red Room (Mastodon, ISIS, Nine Inch Nails), mastered by Ed Brooks at Resonant Mastering (Pearl Jam, Caspian, Minus The Bear), and complemented with stunning artwork/visuals by multimedia artist Josh Graham (Jay-Z, Madonna, Soundgarden).

Phil DuBois writes with the new TRILLIONAIREsingle, "'The Golden Goat' is about a close friend of Renee's who died of a drug overdose. However, the song received its name long before Renee joined the band, and it wasn't until after he had recorded the song that he asked what the title meant. After hearing the story - which can be summed up succinctly as, 'when your roommate sells your gear for drugs, you can buy it back at the Golden Goat' - he wouldn't let us change the name."

Decibel writes with the track's premiere, "Progressive rock unit TRILLIONAIRE reflect on the darker side of life with their debut album, Romulus. The band, which includes current and former members of Revocation, KEN Mode, Inter Arma, and others, play emotive rock that rises and falls, coming together in huge hooks and vibrant melodies, a quality displayed on new single 'The Golden Goat.'"

Drugs, theft, betrayal! All this and more in the gripping tale of TRILLIONAIRE's "The Golden Goat," now streaming exclusively at Decibel Magazine  RIGHT HERE .

TRILLIONAIRE's Romulus will see release through Nefarious Industries on 12" vinyl, CD, and digital next Friday, January 29th. Find preorders for merch bundles as well as all digital service providers at the album's landing page  HERE .

TRILLIONAIRE's nebulous roots reach back nearly a decade, slowly materializing over numerous writing sessions and recordings taking place in Boston, Richmond, Nashville, and Seattle. Romulus is a record as carnal as it is cosmopolitan - a spiritual soiree where the beautiful and elegant mingle with the crude and grotesque. Over a firestorm of guitars, bass, and percussion, Fontaine's vocal melodies shimmer like shattered glass glistening in the pale moonlight. Lyrics, sonics, and visuals seamlessly coalesce into a complex mystique rarely seen in the arena of heavy rock n' roll.
