HATEFULMURDER - Reborn - Reviewed By ODYMETAL ! Check it out here at this link: https://odymetal.blogspot.com/2020/12/hatefulmurder-reborn.html
Here is another Brazilian group on the horizon, which is called HATEFULMURDER and comes this time from Rio de Janeiro and intends to make a place with their new album "Reborn" in a death thrash metal register. You will tell me again! We already have the groups NERVOSA, SINAYA and THE DAMNNATION and indeed, you are right but musically apart from a thrash base, it is the only thing to which we can make the link since each of the groups will have taken a different direction and we cannot will not be able to say that they copied each other.
HATEFULMURDER is downright influenced by ARCH ENEMY and it shows. On the other hand, we will not find this very characteristic heroic guitar side but we will have the right to more or less present electro touches but without excess.
Overall, a melodic aspect will be present in an implacable dynamic which will be de rigueur with some variations of tempos and the first track "Rise" will confirm it with its killer riff, excellent.
Only the track "Break Down The Propechy" will be in a moderate tempo where a HYPOCRISY-style atmosphere will be in the background.
A station wagon with a rather dark atmosphere will come in and also a very hard rock solo on the track “Reborn”, powerful choirs and a big bass will stand out on “Spit Deception”.
Angélica Burns, the howler on duty will perform very angry growls in the vein of Angela Gossow. A second more guttural death song will make its appearance and often in duplicate, just like a clear song that will only appear on the titles "Lost Days", "Mindbreaker" and "You Are Not The One" whose chorus may make us think at SPOIL ENGINE. The native language will be privileged on “Sentimentos Artificiais” and “Santificado Seja O Meu Ódio” with an ambient electro break.
Here is a good dynamic opus with an influence of the Scandinavian scene but with Brazilian sauce. It will easily satisfy Death Thrash Metal fans not for its originality but for its direct and punchy efficiency.
