Heaven Upside Down is the upcoming tenth studio album by American rock band Marilyn Manson. It is set to be released on October 6, 2017, by Loma Vista Recordings and Caroline International.

Marilyn Manson discussed becoming friends again with Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor in a new Beats 1 interview. 

“I liked Defiant Ones, because it also made me think about Trent, it made me reach out to him. He’s the one who actually sent me an email, we had sort of mended ways after a long time through Tyler Bates strangely enough. It was probably at an awards show, based on scores or something, I don’t remember the occasion, but he emailed me and said, ‘I’m just passing a song from Jimmy [Iovine], so I can say I did it.’

He said something in the email along the lines of, ‘It really pisses me off that music isn’t dangerous anymore. It reminds me of how great you were, and I was, and that era.’ Nine Inch Nails was obviously huge to me, and to meet and interview Trent Reznor, and have him sign me, had a big impact on my life. All of the past, any sort of squabbles or arguments, that just went away. Especially seeing that Defiant Ones, and him telling me about it.”

He also said he wants to collaborate with Reznor again.

“Absolutely. We’re playing a show with them, its two nights in a row. We’ve been speaking about things, I don’t know what will happen, I would love to. He taught me how to do a lot of things.”
