Doan is an alternative metal/progressive rock band from Montréal, Canada. Their first full length “Stupidity Kills” was self-released on November 10, 2017 and set to be re-released by Sliptrick Records in 2019. Doan started as a cover band called Ghettoblaster in 2011, paying homage to Voivod, Pink Floyd, Stone Temple Pilots, Disturbed, Rage Against The Machine and other bands. When they changed their name and began playing original songs in 2017, they brought those influences into their sound. Guitarist Nicholas Roy and I talk about the making of “Stupidity Kills” and the promotional videos of certain tracks from the album.
