LoneHunter's debut EP "Beyond the Portals of Death" was released in October of 2018. As indicated in my review of the EP from January 2019 it crosses over technical death metal, technical thrash metal and progressive black metal, with a unifying theme that is like a short film. The Brazilian band says that lyrically it wasn't made to be a conceptual EP, but it can be interpreted as such. The unifying theme of the EP's five tracks represents the band's thoughts on mortality. This will be explored at greater length on the band's upcoming full length.
