Description
Covert Stations take on the 1982 hit “I Melt with You” by Modern English. Written by Robbie Grey, Gary McDowell, Richard Brown, Michael Conroy & Stephen Walker.
Covert Stations waxes nostalgic again, do they? Sure do. This song was at the top of idea board when the inception of the series came into bloom. Leaning back to 1982, Modern English's pulsating jangle of "I Melt with You" is an irresistible, early alternative rock staple which still holds strong 40 years later. One of the defining songs of the 80s, its pop melancholy appeases any pasty new wavers open field dash to the sunlit hills—despite the lyrical impending doom lurking close behind.
