Bulletproof Wings is a feature documentary film being released by TUBI TV on September 11, 2021. Front man Ethan Isaac enlists his band Edison (now known as Edisun) in an Armed Forces Entertainment experiment to boost plummeting troop morale, during the Iraq War, by embedding an American rock group with the United States military on the front line. A personal, unique documentary offering a POV perspective of the battlefield through civilian eyes set in the emotional aftermath of 09/11. The film, presented by Echo The World and Lo Ambro Films, directed by Lory Ambrosini, and produced by Amanda Ozment, was created from source material collected during their tours. This rare footage is unlike any behind-the-scenes musical footage you will ever see. Join the band flying into the war zone in a C130, experience first hand what is referred to as a "combat landing," airlifting from base to base in Blackhawk helicopters, harrowing ground convoys through desert sand storms; all the while being coached by soldiers on practical things such as when to wear their Kevlar helmets and body armor, and what to do during a rocket attack. Yet in the context of these strange and occasionally terrifying circumstances, this is still a very unique film about a rock band on tour. You see Edisun performing up close and personal shows for soldiers in full camo playing air-guitar on assault rifles, rocking out to the band's original music. In many ways, it is fitting that the film would be released on September 11th, as it was the date when the story really began, with lead singer Ethan walking in lower Manhattan on that fateful morning. Fighting his way through the soot and ash to escape the terror of the attack, he would later put this feelings into a song called "Into the Sunlight." That song would find find its way to the ears of Armed Forces Entertainment, and begin a journey that would take Edisun to over 20 countries, performing for an always appreciative audience of the United States military.
