AZIOLA CRY is an instrumental progressive metal band from Chicago, Illinois, United States. Consisting of Jason Blake on Warr Guitar, Mike Milaniak on guitar, and Tommy Murray on drums, the trio released their debut album, “Ellipsis”, in 2005, followed by “Ghost Conversations”. 2021 brings the band back and with their most important release yet. Entitled, “The Ironic Divide”, the new album features four songs telling the story of one person’s final descent. Mixed by Steven Gillis at Transient Sound and mastered by Ted Jensen (Lamb of God, Gijora), the forty-eight minute album is the band’s heaviest and most intricate work yet.

...WHERE ONCE BORE WINGS
The story ends with the protagonist loosing all innocence and becoming a shell of his original self. His angelic wings have been lost.
"I wanted an ending song that was heavy and, as with past albums, alluded to what was to come next from the band. For the video, I once again asked Jeremy Bessoff to create the visuals for the music based on Micka Klauck's original artwork. For the band portion, we worked with videographer, Chuck Deters, to produce the cramped feeling of being inside the character's head. The red and blue footage represents the struggle inside of his mind." - Jason Blake
