Frailty piedāvā videoklipu dziesmai “Es degu”, kas iekļauta šī gada 2. oktobrī iznākušajā grupas ceturtajā albumā “Tumši ūdeņi”. Tā režisors ir Frailty ģitārists Jēkabs Vilkārsis. Klipa stāsta pamatā ir nozīmīgs notikums pasaules vēsturē – 16.gs. Reformācijas laiks. Frailty, raksturojot “Es degu” ideju, uzsver, ka tās mērķis ir parādīt izdomātu, bet attiecīgajam laikmetam atbilstošu epizodi, kas raksturotu tolaik notikušās ideju sadursmes cilvēciskās traģēdijas pusi. Īpašs uzsvars likts uz video redzamajiem tēliem un simboliem, kā arī uz būtiskiem eksistenciāliem jautājumiem. Cik tālu cilvēks ir gatavs iet, aizstāvot savu taisnību? Vai mērķis tiešām attaisno līdzekļus? Vai uzticēšanās un ticība sabrūk pārbaudījumu un nāves priekšā? Kurā mirklī cilvēks zaudē vai iegūst to, kas padara viņu cilvēcīgu? “Es degu” tēli ir veidoti, meklējot uz tiem atbildes. Frailty presents the official video for the song “Es degu” (I Burn) from the album “Tumši ūdeņi” (The Dark Waters), released on 2 October 2020. The video was directed by Jēkabs Vilkārsis, who is also Frailty’s guitar player. The basis of the video’s story are important events in the world’s history – the times of Reformation in the 16th Century. Frailty describing the idea of “Es degu”, points out to the intention to depict a fictional but appropriate episode for the period, which characterizes the dimension of human tragedy in time of the collision of different worldviews. A great emphasis is made on the characters and symbols presented in the video, and on the relevant existential questions. How far can a human being go in protecting his own truth? Does the goal really justify the means? Does faith and trust crumble in the face of trials and death? At what point a person gains or loses that which makes him or her human?
