Saint Louis, Missouri-based crossover bandits, CROSS EXAMINATION, have completed the next chapter in their lethal, party-down lineage, and are ready to blast you in the face with their Dawn Of The Dude EP.
Having founded a brutalizing, high-octane thrash/hardcore crossover sound derived of the masters, Cryptic Slaughter, Destruction, Nuclear Assault, Excel, D.R.I. and the like, through a pile of recorded output and face-erasing touring/partying since their 2004 inception, CROSS EXAMINATION produces shredding metal of the highest caliber, right in line with contemporary kingpins Ramming Speed, SSS and Power Trip. In their first four years together, the squad wasted the masses with a plethora of auditory evidence, including their initial demo, a split with Spring Break!, their raging 2006 The Hung Jury EP and their 2008 debut full-length, Menace II Sobriety, the latter two titles via Chicago-based Organized Crime Records.
In this putrid Summer of 2014, Organized Crime will close the six-year gap in releases with CROSS EXAMINATION’s first new output since their LP, with possibly their most scathing, grey-matter-reducing sonic beating yet, with the Dawn Of The Dude EP. The seven new tracks contained on this newly-completed beastkiller barely tops thirteen lucky minutes of mayhem, yet still pack more balls and bong-rips than virtually any comparable contemporary groups. Your brains will simply leak from your blown-open ear canals as you bang your head’s filler into fluid to the perpetually rabid beats, the material featuring even more rasping, schizoid/hyper vocals and a pummeling crusty edge with more of an edge of West Coast crushers like Spazz, Infest and Capitalist Casualties molesting their gnat’s-ass-tight thrash velocity.
