Description
Let us begin here: is there any reason behind love or friendships other than self-gratification? Born either from friendship, or the necessity of friendship, Brothers is our ironic self-indulgence, it is our luxury through friendship, the framework for our confused sexuality, and our sarcastic love for those who love. We are comfortable with the ragged clothes that are masculinity and femininity. Our conception of friendship, our desire for brotherhood, questions the traditional Hellenistic conception of love--is there truly a difference between agape and eros, philia and storge? Perhaps we don't desire the pleasure of friendship after all. Perhaps we desire ourselves.
