Description
Since forming in 2010, Copenhagen's HEXIS has marked Denmark as a premiere source for amazing blackened hardcore. With new full-length ABALAM, the band clearly has no intention of slowing its consistently forward-thinking onslaught of dark, engrossing gems. This benchmark LP will be released by Wisconsin's HALO OF FLIES and French label MUSICFEARSATAN on January 11, 2014 with a special album release party planned in Hexis' hometown on that same day. Preorders begin December 13.
For a listening experience akin to consuming, all-encompassing darkness, Abalam is a fitting choice. Hexis on naming the record:
“The demon Abalam is a King of Hell and an assistant to Paimon. He takes possession of a human’s body to encourage the human to commit lust, he would defile humans during the possession and the only way they could escape was death.”
European fans will have the opportunity to see Hexis perform these wicked rituals live as the band will be touring heavily following the release of Abalam, which was recorded and mixed by Lewis Johns and Tony James at The Ranch Production House in England and mastered by Rob Gonnella and Nick Zampiello at New Alliance East.
Featuring artwork designed by Craig Murray, 1000 copies of Abalam will be pressed on 180gram vinyl and distributed by Halo of Flies in the US and MUSICFEARSATAN in Europe: 300 on clear grey, 700 on black.
