THE BEAST

ASHCLOUD was born in Sweden under the name of Skinbag in 2005. After dissolving old-school death metal band Disfigured Victims, Jonny Pettersson had the urge to play raw and filthy death metal again. A demo was recorded, but due to other commitments, he had to put the band on ice. Until he met Gareth Nash, that is, and in 2013, they decided to join forces and continue the path of Disfigured Victims and that first Skinbag demo: a path of crust-punk-infused death metal with ice-cold melodies bringing that late '80s / early '90s style of Swedish death metal into the future.

A name change to ASHCLOUD was made and another demo was recorded, and eventually XTREEM MUSIC would pick up the band under their roster, releasing the band’s first two albums Abandon All Light (2015) and Children of the Chainsaw (2016).

ASHCLOUD has gone from clarity to clarity, hammering out their own path, paying homage to those old Swedish death metal legends mixed with their undeniable love for crust-punk. And with their new album for XTREEM MUSIC, Kingdom of the Damned, they showcase a sound that is unmistakably ASHCLOUD! Joining the duo on the new album is session drummer Bryan Berger, taking the songs to a whole new level with his driven drums.
