The YouTube user known as ‘ Gun Drummer ’ has returned once again for a cover of an iconic metal song using automatic weapons, having previously fired off to Lamb of God’s “ Laid to Rest ” and Slipknot’s “ Psychosocial .” On the shooting range this time is Pantera’s “5 Minutes Alone,” which is undoubtedly the most perfect match for this treatment yet.
I’m not sure how I feel about the glorification of gun use for these videos — I’m going to assume Mr. Gun Drummer has taken the necessary safety precautions — but the irony of firing guns to a song that was written by a guy who was shot to death is too much to handle, and I wonder whether it’s completely lost on this fella. Still, something tells me that if it were possible to tell post-mortem Dimebag of this video’s existence he’d probably be proud. Check it out below.
