RICHIE FAULKNER's Most Embarrassing Onstage Moment

In a recent interview with KISW 's "Metal Shop" , JUDAS PRIEST guitarist Richie Faulkner was asked to reveal his most embarrassing onstage moment. He said (hear audio below): "Oh, wow. I've gotta think hard about that. Luckily — I shouldn't say this, because when you say it, something always happens — luckily, I've always got away scot-free. I never had anything… I'll tell you what I've done a few times on this [recent North American] tour. For some reason, I've played the wrong song. There's a lot of songs in the setlist where I start on the guitar. For some reason, I have like a lapse in concentration or [I'm] just somewhere else and I start the wrong song. And everyone's looking at me in the band, like, 'What are you doing?' And I'm looking at them, thinking, 'I don't know. What's the problem? What are you looking at me for?' And then it becomes apparent. It's, like, 'Ah, I started the wrong song.' There was a couple of those moments. But as far as really embarrassing ones, I've got away with it so far. And as I said, I'm touching wood at the moment… I've got away scot-free at the moment, luckily."

Faulkner joined PRIEST in 2011 as the replacement for original guitarist K.K. Downing .

Richie was once the guitarist in the backing group for Lauren Harris , daughter of IRON MAIDEN bassist Steve Harris .

In a 2016 interview with 103GBF , JUDAS PRIEST singer Rob Halford stated about Faulkner : "We can't say enough about Richie . I mean, you know, it's hard to condense it, but if you [see PRIEST in concert] and just look at Richie 's charisma and energy and all of the great stuff that's coming out of his hands, it's wonderful; it really is. And, yeah, I mean, he's infectious; the fans will tell you that. Once the show kicks off, he's at the edge of the stage connecting, and that's a really cool thing to be having happen with PRIEST ."

PRIEST recently completed a North American tour with support from URIAH HEEP .
