NIKKI SIXX TALKS MÖTLEY CRÜE REUNION?

MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx says that he had a great time reconnecting with his bandmates to record four new songs for the film adaptation of the group's biography, "The Dirt - Confessions Of The World's Most Notorious Rock Band" . "There's that saying, 'It's like riding a bicycle,'" he told USA Today about returning to the studio with the CRÜE . "I mean, it's been almost 40 years with these three guys. We know everything about each other. I've known Mick [ Mars ] and Tommy [ Lee ] and Vince [ Neil ] longer than anybody on Earth... So there's a bond between us that is unbreakable. Even if we're fighting, it's unbreakable."

Asked if seeing how well the four songs turned out has led to any discussion about recording a new MÖTLEY CRÜE album, Nikki said: "I don't know. Maybe if we got inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame or something, it might be fun to get out and bang up some songs. Besides that, we haven't really talked about anything else yet. We're pretty focused on the film and soundtrack."

In a separate interview with Classic Rock , Sixx reiterated that he and his bandmates "haven't had the talk" about a possible permanent reunion.

"Yeah, I miss the guys, and I miss playing with them, and playing that music, but everyone's fairly busy with their own thing," he said.

"That's a whole conversation that we haven't even had at that point. And I don't know if we ever will."

In 2015, MÖTLEY CRÜE completed "The Final Tour" , closing the book on the band's iconic career after performing a total of 164 shows in 72 markets, grossing over $100 million.

To cement the sense of finality, the four members of MÖTLEY CRÜE in 2014 publicly signed a "cessation of touring" contract that prevents any of them from performing under the CRÜE name in the future.

Due on March 22, "The Dirt" movie, which was helmed by "Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa" director Jeff Tremaine , was picked up by Netflix after being previously developed at Focus Features and before that at Paramount .
