Four Metal Devastation PR Clients Featured in Germany’s Legacy Magazine

HELLDRIFTER, FLIGHT OF ODIN, KÜNTSQUÄD and LIZZORD join an issue featuring Children of Bodom on the cover, plus major features on Silvertomb, Arckanum, Heilung, Sinister and more

Metal Devastation PR is pleased to announce that four of its clients—HELLDRIFTER, FLIGHT OF ODIN, KÜNTSQUÄD and LIZZORD—are featured in this month’s issue of Germany’s Legacy magazine. The issue features Children of Bodom on the cover and includes major features on Silvertomb, Arckanum, Heilung, Sinister and more. Metal Devastation PR’s clients add four distinct perspectives on heavy music through interviews, a band profile and album coverage.

HELLDRIFTER look toward their next album in a conversation about the lessons and working methods that have developed since Shell Of Inexistence. The Stuttgart five-piece tell Legacy they are currently working on more than 20 songs, taking an increasingly detailed approach to songwriting while continuing to put guitars at the center of their Old-School Melodic Death Metal sound. Vocalist Billy Kolins also discusses lyrics inspired by recurring events and concerns in the wider world, alongside plans to revisit the horror-film influence behind the band’s name. The feature touches on the group’s Kreator cover of “Murder Fantasies,” which they approached in their own style.

FLIGHT OF ODIN receive both an interview and a review for I Traveled The Crooked Path. The interview traces the personal, mythic and musical influences behind the American band’s double album, from singer and lyricist Xyra’s stream-of-consciousness writing to the group’s collaborative, self-produced approach. The release brings together the current lineup’s material with remastered tracks from the earlier Goddess In Smoke MCD. In its review, Legacy praises the album’s atmospheric combination of melancholic Doom Metal, Progressive Rock and psychedelic soundscapes, highlighting Xyra’s expressive vocals, the eerie piano passages in “The Ravens’ Eyes” and the standout guitar solo in “You Can’t Stop Me Now.” The album receives 11 points.

Australian grind outfit KÜNTSQUÄD discuss their evolving live sound, touring and the challenge of writing a third album. Guitarist Paula VC Damnzal describes the band’s effort to push their extreme sound further while retaining the distinct character that sets them apart. The feature also looks back at Satans Cock, the band’s recent live activity and their appearance on the Imperative Music Agency Vol. 21 DVD with “Psychotropic Lyfe.” KÜNTSQUÄD also share plans to bring their music to Europe and Japan for the first time next year.

LIZZORD are profiled in “Selfmade Speed,” a feature that follows the band’s DIY approach from songwriting and recording through to artwork. The German four-piece’s debut album, Cosmic Crypt, draws on ’80s and ’90s Speed and Thrash Metal, pairing high-velocity riffs with a two-part vocal approach. Legacy highlights the group’s hands-on production, including real drums recorded and refined in drummer Marcel Weber’s own studio, and the band’s commitment to making the music, lyrics and artwork feel like a unified work. Cosmic Crypt is scheduled for release on November 20.

Together, the features showcase four different paths through heavy music: HELLDRIFTER’s guitar-forward melodic death metal, FLIGHT OF ODIN’s expansive and melancholic sound, KÜNTSQUÄD’s uncompromising grind and LIZZORD’s self-made speed and thrash.
