German True and Melodic Speed Metal outfit FearPark set October 16 release date for first single from upcoming debut album

The next generation of traditional heavy metal is coming out swinging from Balingen, Germany. FearPark have announced the October 16, 2026 release of “Killing Match,” the first single from their upcoming debut album, This Is How You Die , due later this year.

Formed in 2022, FearPark have built their identity around True Metal, melodic speed metal, and old-school power metal , drawing heavily from the classic sound and spirit of the 1980s while bringing their own youthful energy to the formula. With influences ranging from Helloween, Blind Guardian, and Judas Priest to Iron Maiden and early Metallica, the five-piece delivers a combination of twin-guitar attack, driving riffs, melodic leads, soaring vocals, and classic heavy metal songwriting.

And FearPark have wasted little time making their presence known.

Just three shows into their existence, the band won a local band contest, earning them the opportunity to open the Wolfweez Open Air 2023 . The performance generated strong feedback from the attending crowd and helped establish FearPark as a band to watch within the local metal scene.

FearPark continued building their live résumé with appearances alongside established acts including Vicious Rumors, Absolva, and Traitor , while also performing at Metal Night Tübingen and the Balingen Garden Show. In July 2024, the band opened the inaugural RVBang Festival in Balingen , once again earning positive reactions from the local metal community.

Their first demo was recorded in fall 2023 and released on January 20, 2024, with the material mixed by Luke Appleton , formerly of Iced Earth.

Metal Factory Magazine later described the band's sound as a blend of True Metal and strong '80s influences, highlighting FearPark's twin-guitar approach, Iron Maiden-inspired riffs, occasional early Metallica flavor, and touches of Power Metal.

Since spring 2025, FearPark have been focused on writing and preparing the material that would become their first full-length album.

Now, that work is ready to emerge.

“Killing Match” will be released on Friday, October 16, 2026 at 12:00 AM CEST , marking the first step toward the band's debut full-length, This Is How You Die . A second single, “The Eagles Crest,” will follow at a later date, with the full album currently planned for release in late November or early December 2026.

The album represents the culmination of several years of development for the young German band, combining their devotion to traditional heavy metal with the speed, melody, and epic songwriting associated with the classic European metal tradition.

Production on This Is How You Die was handled entirely by FearPark alongside Heiko Irmscher of Noplies . Mixing and mastering were completed by a collaborator who has chosen to remain anonymous for the time being, with the band planning to credit him under a yet-to-be-revealed anagram.

FearPark remain independent and self-managed, continuing to build their career on their own terms.

With “Killing Match,” the band are ready to take the next step.
