Australian deathcore titans A Night In Texas are preparing to unleash their most devastating chapter yet with their upcoming fifth full-length album, The Darkest Side of Humanity , arriving September 4th via Unique Leader Records .

The band has given fans the first taste of the new record with the release of their crushing new single and music video, “Metastatic Misery.” The track offers a brutal introduction to an album that promises to push the limits of the band’s already punishing deathcore sound.

Speaking about “Metastatic Misery,” A Night In Texas explains:

“‘Metastatic Misery’ is a scathing critique of the commercialization of disease and the industries that profit from human suffering. Centered around cancer and the devastating realities faced by those diagnosed, the track explores a world where treatment becomes a commodity and profit is often perceived to outweigh compassion.”

The song tackles heavy themes of exploitation, desperation, and systemic failure, examining the disturbing reality of how human suffering can become intertwined with financial interests. It sets the tone for an album that dives deep into some of humanity’s darkest corners.

A Darker, Heavier Chapter

With The Darkest Side of Humanity , A Night In Texas embraces their most extreme and uncompromising sound yet. The album stays rooted in the band’s blistering deathcore foundation while bringing back elements of their earlier identity, creating a darker, more sinister, and more atmospheric experience.

Across 10 tracks, the band delivers relentless speed, crushing breakdowns, and an oppressive sonic atmosphere that explores the darker side of human existence.

Produced by guitarist Cory Judd, the album was mixed and mastered by Christian Donaldson , known for his work with bands including Cryptopsy , Ingested , and Despised Icon .

Lyrically, The Darkest Side of Humanity explores death, suffering, mortality, instinct, deception, and the darker forces that influence human behavior. The record examines humanity’s primal nature and the unavoidable realities that shape existence.
