Riftpatrol, the boundary-pushing project formed in 2025, continues expanding its cinematic universe with the release of their new single “Splitter in der Haut,” available now on all major platforms.

Built as more than just a music project, Riftpatrol fuses modern heavy music with cinematic storytelling and an ever-growing visual world inspired by manga and webtoon aesthetics. The sound moves between alternative rock, goth, metal, and atmospheric layers, focusing on emotional contrast, immersive narrative, and a dark, unmistakable visual identity.

At the center of the Riftpatrol universe is The Captain, a detective navigating fractured realities, emotional collapse, and disturbing cases where perception and truth constantly blur. Each release acts as another chapter in this unfolding story, where music and visual storytelling evolve together and feed into one another.

“Splitter in der Haut” marks one of the project’s darkest and most emotionally charged releases to date. Drawing inspiration from Neue Deutsche Härte and cold wave influenced goth rock, the track is built on heavy guitars, icy synth textures, and haunting vocal delivery that locks the listener into a hypnotic, melancholic atmosphere.

Lyrically, the song explores emotional pain, internal conflict, and the weight of scars that sit deeper than the surface. It captures that quiet, lingering damage that never fully fades, even long after the moment has passed.

Unlike earlier multilingual releases, “Splitter in der Haut” fully embraces the intensity of the German language, sharpening the track’s emotional impact and giving its atmosphere a colder, more direct edge.
