FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
THY ANTICHRIST IGNITE NEW ERA WITH “SCORPIO,” GLOBAL ART CONTEST, STEEL FEST APPEARANCE, AND SOUTH AMERICAN HEADLINING TOUR
Thy Antichrist, the existentialist black metal force shaping extreme music since 1998, is stepping into a bold new chapter that goes far beyond a single release. Known for their raw philosophy, uncompromising sound, and underground dominance, the band is now aligning music, art, and global movement into one unified push around their upcoming single “Scorpio.”
“Scorpio” is the first chapter in a larger release cycle, with additional singles to follow ahead of a new full-length album later this year.
At the center of this campaign is a powerful statement: an official artwork contest for “Scorpio” that directly challenges the rising flood of AI-generated visuals in modern culture. The band is calling on real human artists to create original, hand-crafted artwork that reflects authenticity, struggle, and raw creativity. The winning artist will receive a $500 cash prize, with their work becoming the official cover for the release.
In a scene that has always thrived on grit, imperfection, and human expression, Thy Antichrist is drawing a hard line in the sand. This is not just about cover art. It is about defending the soul of creation itself.
“This is about real people making real art,” says the band. “Metal has always belonged to those who create from pain, truth, and experience. We are keeping that flame alive.”
The “Scorpio” era also marks a major live expansion for the band. Thy Antichrist will appear at Steel Fest in Finland this May, bringing their signature intensity to one of Europe’s key extreme metal gatherings. From there, the band launches into their first-ever South American headlining tour, running late August through September, with confirmed dates spanning Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Argentina, and Uruguay.
This run represents a major milestone for the band, cementing their global presence and deepening their connection with one of the most passionate metal audiences on the planet.
From underground beginnings in 1998 to international stages in 2026, Thy Antichrist continues to evolve without compromise. The “Scorpio” campaign signals more than a release cycle. It is a declaration of intent, a defense of human artistry, and a global offensive of sound and vision.
More details on the “Scorpio” artwork contest, release timeline, and tour dates will be announced soon.
Thy Antichrist is not following the wave. They are cutting through it.
