Altared States – Borrowed Time (Thrash Metal)
Wheeling, WV thrash lifers Altared States deliver classic thrash with precision and grit on their latest album Borrowed Time . Originally formed in 1990 and revitalized with a new lineup in 2019, the band proves thrash is still alive and swinging hard. Recorded at Aardvark Productions in Steubenville, OH, the album showcases intricate riffs, relentless energy, and the uncompromising spirit that defines real metal.

Chainfight – E.P. II (Hardcore)
Bangkok’s Chainfight emerges as a raw and unrelenting force in hardcore and modern metal. Formed in 2023, the band channels the aggression and grit of early 2000s hardcore while bringing a contemporary edge. Their debut EP, released via Inhuman Assault Productions, hits hard with unyielding riffs, thunderous rhythms, and aggressive vocals that recall icons like Terror, Hatebreed, and Throwdown.

Visions of Terror – The Dark Triad (Modern Metal)
Rising from the frozen northern Midwest, Visions of Terror deliver a crushing debut EP, The Dark Triad , out March 31, 2026 via Arson Theory. Combining melodic death metal precision with modern metal weight, the band features a dynamic dual lead vocal attack, thunderous drumming, heavy grooves, and inventive guitar work. The release is accompanied by the cinematic music video for “Phoenix Rising,” produced by JT Ibanez and mixed/mastered by Matt Schmidt.
