Brandon Bordman’s one-man progressive death metal powerhouse, The Grand Myth, unleashes the latest single and official lyric video “Killer Whale” on February 5, setting the stage for the highly anticipated full-length concept album Of Vultures and Dragons arriving February 24, 2026. Famed for merging intricate technicality with cinematic storytelling, Bordman continues to redefine what a metal experience can be.

Killer Whale dives deep into the dark, brutal world of the Primitive War universe, giving listeners a glimpse of the chaos, bloodshed, and haunting narratives that shape Of Vultures and Dragons . Bordman explains:

"‘Killer Whale’ is one of the key moments in the album that encapsulates the struggle and ferocity of the Primitive War universe. Every riff, every lyric, every vocal is crafted to pull you into this violent, unrelenting world. I wanted to give fans a taste of the intensity that the full album delivers."

The upcoming album features an impressive roster of guest musicians and voice actors, including Nizar Ibrahim, PhD (Of Vultures and Dragons), Johnnie Wallace (Father Tyrant), David Ralyea (Through the River Styx), and more, adding cinematic layers to Bordman’s already ambitious vision. Bordman performed all instruments himself, with mixing by Georg Cotta and Brandon Bordman, and mastering by Neil Schneider.
