Originating in the New York tri-state area and now based in Ohio, MAXILLA was founded in 2018 by vocalist and guitarist Haley Cronin . She started classical vocal training at age 7, later expanding into guitar during high school under the guidance of Rob Thorne from Sacred Oath. That background of discipline and fire fuels “Anatomy: She,” a record built on truth, emotion, and a sharp edge.

The album draws blood from influences old and new — Iron Maiden, Metallica, and Black Sabbath on one side, Halestorm and Paramore on the other. Haley’s vocals hit with weight and attitude, landing right in that sweet zone where melody meets muscle. Lyrically, the album cuts into themes of inequality, identity, and the battles women still face, delivering a powerful and refreshing perspective.
