WitcheR Unveil Fourth Full-Length Album “Öröklét” — A Monumental Journey Through Atmospheric Black Metal

November 4, 2025 — The gates of eternity have opened. Hungarian atmospheric black metal pioneers WitcheR return with their highly anticipated fourth full-length album, Öröklét (“Eternity”), out now on CD and cassette via Filosofem Records , with vinyl following later in November through Beveria Productions .

Building on the darkly enchanting legacy of their previous release, Lélekharang , Öröklét immerses listeners in a mystical landscape where the icy monumentality of black metal converges with the timeless elegance of classical harmonies. The album features four new original compositions and a reimagined adaptation of Franz Schubert’s Piano Trio No. 2 – Andante con moto , seamlessly blending the theatricality of atmospheric black metal with centuries-old musical tradition.

Gere Karola (synths, vocals) and Neubauer Roland (guitars, drums, vocals) have honed their craft since forming WitcheR in 2010, crafting music inspired by Summoning, early Dimmu Borgir, and Wolves in the Throne Room. Their work balances haunting melodies, expansive synth layers, and lyrical explorations of witchcraft, Hungarian folklore, and resistance to the modern world. From demos and split albums to full-length releases Csendes domb (2015) and A gyertyák csonkig égnek (2019), WitcheR’s path has always intertwined ritualistic atmosphere with musical sophistication.

Öröklét was recorded at Vrag’s Forest Studio between 2023 and 2025, with all engineering, mixing, and mastering handled by the band. The album’s artwork, a striking visual echo of its themes, was created by Grafit & Hamu Artworks .

Fans of atmospheric and symphonic black metal will find a new pinnacle in WitcheR ’s oeuvre, a record that bridges the chasm between the ephemeral and the eternal, the darkness and the light.
