ABOUT THE ALBUM

The Death and Life of the Great Lakes is a 45-minute instrumental exploration of place, grief, and resilience, built around a powerful five-song suite that sonically interprets each of the Great Lakes. The suite is framed by two bookending compositions reflecting on the passing of guitarist/synthesist Jeremy Cronk’s mother in the summer of 2024, giving the album profound personal weight.

“This album is a dynamic, melodic, abrasive, and massive piece of music,” shares Cronk. “It functions best when digested in its entirety. We aimed to capture the intensity and feel of our live performances — and are confident we achieved just that.”

ABOUT THE BAND

Formed in Kalamazoo, Michigan , Lucius Fox is the collaborative vision of Jeremy Cronk (guitar/synths) and Paul Drake Jr. (drums) . Despite being a duo, they summon a colossal wall of sound through looping, dual instrumentation, complex arrangements, and raw energy. Their music spans from Americana to black metal, weaving technical virtuosity with raw emotion.
