Visitant to Co-Headline “In the Wake of Flame” Tour with IATT this October

Blackened Death Metal Forces Collide for a Southeast U.S. Tour of Ritual and Ruin

Metal Devastation PR is proud to announce that ethereal blackened death metal conjurors Visitant will join forces with Philadelphia’s alchemical blackened death juggernauts IATT for the In the Wake of Flame tour — a weeklong storm of sonic devastation blazing through the Southeastern United States this October.

Presented by Mycelium Booking and DNA Entertainment , and sponsored by Black Lion Records, Exitus Stratagem Records, Merch Booth.net, Guitarmory Pickups, Arachnid Cabinets, Kiesel Custom Guitars, The Monster Factory, Schossleitner Technologies, and more , this tour marks a rare convergence of haunting melody, crushing intensity, and genre-defying fury.

This monumental run comes in the wake of Visitant’s recent acclaim for their explosive singles “Starless” and “Fodder,” both taken from their upcoming full-length debut Rubidium , out August 22, 2025 via Exitus Stratagem Records .

⚡ About Visitant & IATT

Visitant was founded by guitarist Taylor Tidwell (Unaligned) and vocalist Chelsea Marrow (Voraath), and delivers a cinematic fusion of blackened groove, symphonic chaos, and raw emotional catharsis. Rounded out by Anthony Lusk-Simone (Abiotic, Lattermath) on drums and orchestration, Kilian Duarte (Abiotic, Scale the Summit) on bass, and Thomas Weidick on guitar, Visitant channels the primal essence of bands like Gojira , Opeth , Dimmu Borgir , Mgła , Leaves’ Eyes , and Chelsea Wolfe .

Their upcoming debut album Rubidium (out August 22 via Exitus Stratagem Records) has already generated buzz in the extreme metal world with the release of two singles:

🎧 “Starless” – Premiered exclusively via No Clean Singing , explores themes of grief, wrath, and dark femininity.

IATT (Philadelphia, PA) has been reshaping the boundaries of blackened death metal since 2008. Known for their daring blend of progressive , black , death , gothic , and even jazz elements, IATT’s sound is both technically masterful and wildly inventive. Described as a "blackened melting pot," they bring fierce creativity to extreme metal's outer edge.

Their third full-length, Magnum Opus , was hailed by Angry Metal Guy as “wondrously adventurous and experimental,” reflecting both the alchemical roots of its title and the band’s unrelenting ambition. While not quite a “masterpiece,” the album is seen as a metaphorical “great work” — further cementing IATT’s place as one of the most intriguing modern black metal acts.

From blistering blackened blasts to elegant violin and piano passages (featuring Ben Karas of Windfaerer ), to sax solos and proggy detours, Magnum Opus is a whirlwind of styles. Tracks like “Exculpate, Exonerate,” “Servitude, Subjugate,” and “Seven Wandering Stars” swing from classical horror atmospheres to chaotic groove and jazz fusion — with vocalist Jay Briscoe and drummer Paul Cole delivering standout performances.

“Even their missteps are something to marvel at… a wealth of exploration and discovery in areas most black metal acts would never dream of treading.”

With each release, IATT proves that experimentation in extreme metal can be both visionary and vicious.
