Napalm Records has done it again — dropping a chilling new gem straight into our inboxes. Cleveland’s own Frayle , masters of the heavy, low, and witchy, have unveiled their latest single “Walking Wounded” , and it’s a soul-crushing doom anthem you’ll want to play on repeat under the cover of night.

Released on July 2, 2025 , Walking Wounded delivers four minutes of ethereal anguish, wrapped in thick layers of doom-laden riffs, haunting vocals, and shadow-drenched atmosphere. Frontwoman Gwyn Strang conjures a hypnotic performance with her spectral voice, while guitarist Sean Bilovecky lays down massive, slow-burning tones that crawl beneath your skin.

Produced and mixed by Aaron Chaparian at Iron Audio, and recorded by Shane Stanton at Glower Studios, the track is a testament to Frayle’s sonic craftsmanship and their unique position in today’s doom and alternative metal scenes. Frayle draws their unique sound from a wide spectrum of influences — combining the crushing weight of Sleep and Black Sabbath with the delicate melancholy of Portishead and Björk . With hints of Kyuss -esque stoner rock, the result is a sound that feels both ancient and modern — music for the night sky, as the band puts it.

Following their critically acclaimed releases Skin & Sorrow (2022) and 1692 (2020), Walking Wounded continues Frayle’s journey into the emotional void, exploring themes of pain, resilience, and ritual healing through doom-laced storytelling.
