Melbourne’s filthiest purveyors of crust-drenched death metal, KÜNTSQUÄD , are back with a vengeance. Their brand new single, “Psychotropic Lyfe,” is out now on all digital platforms via Wormholedeath Records , giving fans a searing taste of the madness to come on their highly anticipated new full-length album, due this fall.

A frenzied mix of blistering grind, punk-rooted chaos, and death metal savagery, “Psychotropic Lyfe” takes no prisoners. The track delivers a full-on audio assault with down-tuned guitars, psychotic drumming, and the unhinged shrieks of guitarist/vocalist Paula VC Damnzal , making it clear that Küntsquäd hasn’t mellowed one bit—in fact, they’ve only gotten meaner.

A Precursor to Hell

“Psychotropic Lyfe” is a sonic mindfuck—lyrically loaded with venom and despair, it explores a society drugged into submission, rotting under consumerist decay and numbed by the daily grind. The band delivers it all through a nihilistic lens, laced with Küntsquäd’s trademark dark humor and unfiltered aggression.

The track was recorded and mastered at Goatsound Studios by underground icons Jason Fuller (Blood Duster) and Jamie Collic , who captured Küntsquäd’s relentless, no-polish-needed essence in full force.

The Next Chapter of Küntsquäd

Following the underground success of their 2024 single “Eat Your Entrails” (featured on Imperative Music Compilation Vol. 18 alongside Deicide and God Dethroned ) and their 2023 debut LP, Küntsquäd now prepare to unleash a full-length follow-up this fall. If Psychotropic Lyfe is any indication, this record will be even more vile, unhinged, and boundary-shattering.
