Austrian thrash metal wrecking crew SILIUS has unleashed their latest single “Shell Shocked” via Running Wild Productions —a crushing track that dives deep into the harrowing reality of war. Inspired by the Battle of Verdun, “Shell Shocked” rips through the chaos with relentless aggression, portraying an endless nightmare of violence, death, and psychological torment .

Blending razor-sharp thrash metal riffing with haunting lyrical imagery of mud, gas, and fire , SILIUS delivers a chilling commentary on the insanity of armed conflict. “Shell Shocked” serves as a brutal and poignant preview of their upcoming full-length album Beneath the Flesh , set to be released on June 6, 2025 , via Hellbound Records and Running Wild Productions .

ABOUT BENEATH THE FLESH (OUT JUNE 6, 2025)

Drawing influence from thrash giants like Exodus , Pantera , Slayer , and Testament , Beneath the Flesh showcases SILIUS at their most refined and ferocious. The album was produced and mixed by Andreas Reinhart , recorded at Subsoundstation Studio and SILIUS HQ in Telfs, and mastered at Kristian Kohlekeller Studios for maximum impact.

Cover art by Giannis Nakos (Remedy Art Design) and band photography by Phillip Schöpf add to the album’s visual and thematic weight. Lyrics by Benji Wellna and Martl Storch , music by Haui/SILIUS , and a stunning reinterpretation of Black Sabbath’s “Solitude” round out this relentless offering.
