ASSASSINATOR UNLEASHES NEW SINGLE "DAMAGES" AHEAD OF UPCOMING ALBUM "DEFEATIZEN"

Murfreesboro, TN – Extreme Groove Metal solo project AssassinatoR, spearheaded by multi-instrumentalist Jonny North, has just released a punishing new single, "Damages." This latest track serves as a powerful introduction to the band's upcoming full-length album, "DEFEATIZEN," set for release on April 18th.

Blending the relentless intensity of extreme metal with the groove-driven songwriting style of bands like Fear Factory, Morbid Angel, and Decapitated, AssassinatoR crafts a sound that is both ferocious and rhythmically compelling. The project was founded with a distinct vision—infusing traditional death metal elements like blast beats and tremolo picking with a more structured and groove-laden approach to vocal delivery and composition.

Originally hailing from Bloomington/Normal, IL, but now based in Murfreesboro, TN, Jonny North has ensured that AssassinatoR remains a one-man force of destruction, dedicated to pushing boundaries without compromise. The project’s discography already boasts two full-length albums, a re-recording of the debut, and a covers album. "DEFEATIZEN" marks the third full-length release, with multiple singles rolling out in the lead-up to the album’s drop.

Maintaining an independent and self-sufficient approach, Jonny North delivers AssassinatoR’s ferocity live using a laptop-to-PA system setup, often performing solo on stage. This stripped-down yet devastating presentation emphasizes the raw power of the music itself.

Fans of crushing riffs, relentless energy, and extreme precision won’t want to miss "Damages", now available on all major streaming platforms. Stay tuned for "DEFEATIZEN"—a record that promises to deliver unrelenting sonic devastation on April 18th.
