Seattle-based epic heavy metal force Serpent Rider is set to make waves once again with their highly anticipated debut full-length album, "The Ichor of Chimaera." Scheduled for release on March 28, 2025, through No Remorse Records , this album marks a new chapter in the band's mystical journey through metal’s rich and arcane history.

From Skyway Corsair to Serpent Rider

Originally formed in 2015 as Skyway Corsair , the band rebranded as Serpent Rider in 2017 , inspired by a line from Manilla Road’s "The Ram." Their 2019 demo, "Pour Forth Surquidous," garnered international attention, leading to a record deal and a split 12” with Ezra Brooks in 2021. That same year, they released "Visions of Esoteric Splendor," further solidifying their place in the underground metal scene.

A major lineup shift followed when the band relocated from Los Angeles to Seattle . With a fresh lineup and a new home, Serpent Rider built momentum through a series of electrifying performances in 2023 , culminating in an appearance at Legions of Metal in Chicago , where they supported Metal Church . In 2024 , they embarked on a tour with Colony Drop and the legendary Anvil (Canada) before heading into the studio to craft what promises to be a landmark album.
