7Keys Unveils Instrumental Melodic Metal Project with Debut Release "Æther"

Porto, Portugal – Rising from a passion for heavy metal and years of dedication, 7Keys announces the upcoming release of their debut instrumental album, Æther, marking a significant milestone for the project founded by guitarist Márcio Teixeira and bassist Igor Rodrigues. The official release date is yet to be announced, but anticipation is already building within the metal community.

The journey of 7Keys began with Márcio Teixeira, whose love for heavy metal started at the age of six. Initially deterred from learning the electric guitar due to his young age, Teixeira’s determination never wavered. After teaching himself guitar for several years, he sought the guidance of world-renowned guitarist Paulo Barros, under whom he honed his craft. Following his lessons, Teixeira joined a musical show in Portugal, where he met the current bassist of 7Keys, Igor Rodrigues.

Driven by a shared ambition to create a heavy metal project that could appeal to a wide audience, the duo began composing music, prioritizing memorable melodies and intricate guitar harmonies. However, they soon realized they needed a second guitarist to bring their vision to life. Through their mutual mentor, Paulo Barros, Teixeira connected with Gabriel Pereira, and together they wrote over 20 original tracks. Despite these achievements, finding the right vocalist proved to be the project’s biggest challenge.

After working with several singers without success, Teixeira decided to transform 7Keys into an instrumental project, creating fresh material to showcase the band’s musical identity. This decision led to the birth of Æther, an instrumental album that highlights the band’s melodic metal sound.

Æther is a showcase of melodic metal that merges intricate guitar work, driving rhythms, and atmospheric soundscapes. For fans of bands like Trivium, Avenged Sevenfold, and Iron Maiden, the album promises to deliver a captivating listening experience, balancing technical proficiency with emotional depth.

With a focus on creating melodies that stick in the listener’s mind, the album offers a fresh take on instrumental metal. Each track tells its own story, giving listeners a glimpse into the essence of 7Keys' evolving style.
