FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
ICELANDIC BAND PTHUMULHU TO LAUNCH UK & IRELAND CRUSADE FROM JULY 18-24
The Icelandic blackened doom trio Pthumulhu are poised to unleash their cosmic lament across
the UK and Ireland this July. Emerging from Reykjavík, the band was formed in 2022 after
discovering recordings on an old rehearsal room recorder. They enlisted D.G., the mastermind
behind Misþyrming, to re-record the material, and had it mastered by Dennis Pleckham of
Bongripper and Comatose Studios.
With six electrifying gigs from London to Dublin, Pthumulhu is set to leave the British Isles
reverberating for months to come. Following the release of their debut album, Tungumál
Svarthola, in February this year on the Austrian label Kvlt Und Kaos, Pthumulhu are now
bringing their crushing sound to the UK and Ireland, courtesy of WORSHIP Bookings. Prepare
for an onslaught of distortion and frenzied howls.
In addition to their appearance at the Doomlines Festival in Sheffield, Pthumulhu will be opening
for the legendary Weedeater in Manchester, alongside Gandalf the Green and Grave Lines.
Each gig on the tour will feature support from a variety of outstanding local bands, including
Acid Throne, Tumanduumband, Commoner, Grave Lines, True Home, GOURD, and Acidsaurus
Bong, among others.
