Since the beginning of the year, APOTHEUS has been brought to be released slowly the pieces from its new album and the most curious have been able to discover” Shape And Geometry ”, “ The Unification Project ”, “ Firewall ” and “ Cogito ”. If these fur twos give a good idea and a copious taste of “ Ergo Atlas ”, this third opus from the Portuguese deserves to be listened to in full its. And by it is the sequel to The Far Star ”, a little detour to its so-called predecessor is necessary.

Inspired by the work of science fiction writer Isaac Asimov, APOTHEUS offers Progressive Metal where it plays atmospheres, while delivering violent passages, growled. However, the quartet also highlights titles with subtle and catchy melodies. It is so into a very futuristic universe that the combo propels us and its music is perfectly in tune with the atmospheres explored. “ Ergo Atlas ” quickly becomes immersive.

We have modern and massive production, APOTHEUS is very aerial and develops technical and demanding themes, before rushing the next moment into shattering and very Groove Metal flights. Between an accessible and harmonious register and crescendos flirting with an extreme style, “ Ergo Atlas ” is a record full of surprises and very mastered by creative and dynamic musicians (“ March of Redemption ”, “ Re-Union ”, “ Re- Genesis "). Transcendent.
