They come from Sweden - and more precisely Malmo - the Intéremo, a Death Metal trio at the long distance debut with this "Buried in Rotten Remains", fired by the compatriot (and fellow citizen) Goregious Productions. We are ahead of a decidedly young band not only for career - trained in 2020 but already with a lot of changes in line up -, but also as an age: singer/guitarist Milo Galaczy Svensson is 16 years old, drummer Harry Bj?rck 17, the current bassist Filip Storck 18 (although in this album she plays Vignar Viarsson). Probably thanks to the very young age, the sound of these guys is still strongly influenced by groups such as Dismember, Asphyx and Bolt Thrower, then sinning on the side of the personality; but nothing that can not be corrected in the future, since they have definitely time on their side. But as much as their "Buried in Rotten Remains" sounds quite unripe and shines anything but for originality, it must be given to these young musicians to have put in place all the passion possible, playing the nine pieces that make up the tracklist - we do not count the intro "Wake the Rotten" and the short instrumental of 7 seconds (!!!) "Decapitation" - viscerally. Here, maybe they should choose in a clear way a path to follow, since we find ourselves listening to pieces stylistically a little too different: in our opinion the Intéremo get away quite well with the classic sounds of the old Swedish school ("Stupid as It Sounds", "Wicked Assault"), but they seem more comfortable and more 'determined' when the rhythms get heavier as in the 'asphyxiana'.English titans Bolt Thrower. For now we feel like giving the Intéremo a suffice full of encouragement: this "Buried in Rotten Remains" they are anything but I choose from a few flaws here and there, but as We say, being Our teenagers have all the time to mature and, who knows?, maybe take away some satisfaction. To follow with interest. allaroundmetal
