The more things change, the more things stay the same. This is the life cycle of rock and metal. 25 years ago, nu-metal was all the rage and then just like that, it was gone. Yet, it hasn’t, and enough time has passed for young bands to start picking up the nu-metal torch. The latest band to do this are Midnight Fracture who have delivered their EP ‘The Silence’.

As with a lot of modern nu-metal, Midnight Fracture also embody elements of melodic metalcore into their sound and therefore any fans of the old-school nu-metal and the metal of the 2000’s will thoroughly enjoy what Midnight Fracture deliver. This EP may be called ‘The Silence’, but it is anything but quiet and each second which passes shows a band at the top of their game with its thumping upbeat tempo which shows no restraints with smooth vocals which have enough rawness to really express that emotion through some deeply personal and engaging lyrics.

‘The Silence’ can be a little out of sync at times, the speed of the instruments makes it feel a little disjointed and the delivery is a little sugar coated and could do with being a few shades darker for a bigger impact. However, this is an enjoyable release by a band with a bright future. Metal Digest

Short Bio: Midnight Fracture formed in August of 2022 originally as the solo project of vocalist Leon Craft. Eventually after hearing some of the music Craft was working on. Guitarist Brandon Rodgers, and bassist Joseph Carter expressed interest in joining the project to create a full fledged band. Soon after drummer Dallas Todd joined the fold along with guitarist Kevin Joslin to complete the line up.
