Band name and album title: LCTR with Goodness won't save you from the Fire
Genre: It was introduced to me as Deathcore, but I would classify the band closer to Deathgrind.
Release date and label: This EP came out on June 16th and they released it into the world on their own.
Other releases of the band: It is probably the first and so far only sign of life of this band.
How did I get to know the band: Every now and then I get Core from Metal Devastation Radio and sometimes I want to give it a chance.
What do I think of the disc: As already said, I hear more Deathgrind than Deathcore. The music is rumbling, people like to blast on garbage can drums, while the vocals oscillate between sinister growls and hardcore/crust punk screams. But they also do other experiments with the voice, which gives the whole thing an interesting twist.
BARB WIRE CROWN sums up the EP really well. Sometimes hectic banging in the best Grindcore style, then again ultra-heavy Death Metal passages and the bass is always omnipresent, which I think is really great. A really strong track.
Conclusion: But the other two also have it all. Again, the choice was very difficult for me, which in this case is a damn good sign. So, my death lead friends, if you're up for some grind in death metal, check this out: fullmetalmayhem
