Sarah Halter (USA) - The Doom That Binds Us - Reviewed By hellfire ! Check it out here at this link: https://www.hellfire-magazin.de/sarah-halter-the-doom-that-binds-us-4-track-ep/
SARAH HALTER comes from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (USA), and here on her 4-track EP “ The Doom That Binds Us ”, which is out today, she is solely responsible for everything hearing. With " Scatter " we go on a journey and dreamily floating electronic sounds combine with everything else, forming a unity and the corresponding rhythm and no matter whether Mrs. Halter immortalizes her singing voice in the microphone clean angelic or demonically possessed, the darkness is present , one way or another.
“ Bad Touch ” opens with infected vocals, but moves in the basic structure increasingly in the same waters as its predecessor, so that there are no surprises, “ Ravenlore ” takes a different path, the riffs conquer the listening stage, everything sounds sadly beautiful , thoughtfulness spreads and Halter even goes a little higher with the tones, which goes well with the overall picture here.
Last but not least we have " The Doom That Binds Us ", where all the stops are pulled out again, the song is filled with more variety in terms of content, like perhaps one of its predecessors and Death and Doom Metal dare a little dance together here, in intimate union.
As I've often written about EPs: one swallow doesn't make a summer and one EP doesn't make an album. So I'm excited to see what awaits me on a long player that will hopefully be released soon afterwards. Oh, for those who want to know: The album artwork on this EP was done by her sister Hannah Halter-Haring.
