With this second album, WIZZO enters the big leagues in the most beautiful way with a Stoner Rock, where Fuzz, groove and progressions always a little Metal, but much more melodic and worked than before. This clever mix, guided by the hypnotic voice of its singer, shows that the quartet from Chicago has carried out a great questioning which is felt on this   high-flying " Most Severe Crisis ".

This second album by the group from Chicago, Illinois, literally makes one think of a metamorphosis on the part of the Americans. Entirely recorded and produced at and by its singer, guitarist and keyboardist, Quentin Poynter, during the pandemic, WIZZO has refined its style and if its Stoner Rock has lost its aggressiveness, and sometimes its heaviness, it is to the benefit of more melodies. and a musical and technical mastery and "  Most Severe Crisis  " shows a completely different face.

Thanks to this maturity reached, its leader, still supported by RB Green (guitar), Kyle Tuggle (bass) and Garry Naples (drums), seems to have released WIZZO which comes to blend into the spheres and sounds very 90's, which remains the one of the most creative decades. That said, the quartet has lost none of its sharpness and the thickness of the guitars and the massive rhythm sound the recall of the troops. Less Metal than before, it's a more Grunge direction to which he invites us.

From “  Hollow Earth  ”, the penetrating voice of Quentin Poynter becomes aerial on the riffs alternating lightness and massive impact. WIZZO is sure of himself and you can hear it ("  Sacrificial Lamb  ", "  Is What Is  ", "  Wizzard's Sleeve  "). The Americans impose it while posing often delicate atmospheres, served by an irreproachable production (“  Godless Interval  ”, “  End Is Nigh  ”). So it's hard not to get caught up in this   enveloping, melodic and solid " Most Severe Crisis ". - ROCK'N FORCE
