Midnite Hellion came from New Jersey to the USA and was formed in 2011 on the initiative of drummer Drew Rizzo; over the years they have released an LP (already reviewed on these pages), an EP, some singles and a Live Album, before releasing this "Kingdom immortal" in January 2022 for the unknown US label Power Chord Productions. The disc consists of eight tracks for just over 35 minutes in duration, with a nice artwork inspired by the gods of ancient Greece. The musical style of the American group is a classic Heavy Metal, inspired by the sound of the 80s, almost on the borders of Speed Metal, but fortunately without a vintage production; of course, from this last point of view, it could be improved, especially the drum snare drum did not excite me (too dry), but we can also be satisfied. Compared to the past we note the entry into the formation of a new guitarist, with Charles Koegler who took the place of Mario DiBartolo, unfortunately, however, the Achilles heel of the band has remained: the singer Rich Kubik has improved compared to the previous record, but still Mother Nature has given him a rather limited uvula and, as I had the opportunity to highlight in the review of the previous album, it would be much better if he just played his bass, leaving the microphone to a more gifted and more powerful singer. A style like his might be acceptable in a Thrash band, but for the heavy metal of the group would need a more polite uvula, with greater vocal range and greater power. Sorry to highlight this weak point, because musically the American band is more than valid and the eight songs are all pleasantly listened to on a musical level, but the singing is really difficult to find it acceptable; just take for example the track "Rapscallion", in which the choir is repeated several times in which it is evident the effort of the singer to ensure a performance at the limits of decent. As mentioned, the music of Midnite Hellion is pleasant, thanks also to guitar solo parts certainly guessed, interesting bass textures and an often sparkling rhythm, thanks to a wise use of drums by the leader Drew Rizzo. Certainly we must not expect originality or innovation, words unknown to this trio, but listen without particular pretensions, if not to spend some time in a pleasantly carefree way. With this "Kingdom immortal" Midnite Hellion confirm what has been positively pointed out in the past and it is hoped that soon they can understand that they need like the bread of a valid singer to aspire to something more than sufficiency. - All Around Metal

Established in 2011 by drummer Drew Rizzo, Midnite Hellion took shape with the addition of bassist and vocalist Rich Kubik in 2016.  Joined by lead guitarist Charles Koegler in June 2019, the band entered Pyramid Sound Studios in Ithaca, NY in August 2019 with producer Alex Perialas ( Anthrax/S.O.D, OverKill, Testament, Joe Bonamassa ).

Recording for Kingdom Immortal was completed in six days, with mixing and mastering taking place in March and May 2021, respectively.  The vinyl mastering was cut at Infrasonic Mastering by Daniel Bacigalupi ( Barry Gibb, Dolly Parton, Stray Cats, Willie Nelson ) and manufactured at Third Man Records ( Jack White/The White Stripes ). Their debut album, Condemned To Hell , catapulted Midnite Hellion into the metal markets in 2017.

The album was featured on the coveted “ New Music Mondays ” program on 89.5 FM WSOU .  Heavy regional and national touring in support of the album was in order, most notably supporting Otep and The World Over in December 2018 in the Midwest and Mountain regions of the US. Midnite Hellion is currently endorsed by InTune Guitar Picks, Axis Percussion , and Drumlite .
