I think it's the first time I've had the opportunity to listen to a metal band from Bangladesh; so I started with curiosity to listen to this "Tree of life", debut album of Ground Force, a group from Dhaka, with artwork that is not really exciting. For their debut they did things big, the production is remarkable, especially if we consider that it is a self-financed work; the album is even presented in triple-cd, the first with seven pieces sung in English, the second with the same songs sung in the native language for the metalheads of Bangladesh, the third with always the same songs but presented in instrumental version. Honestly I was sorry that in the last album the singer Ehsan Rahman Zia was put aside because he has a really interesting, warm and expressive voice, optimal for the type of metal played by the band, an elegant and theatrical power/prog. With the eagerness to do things big, however, Ground Force put a foot in foul with songwriting; the pieces, in fact, are often too long and would be much more effective with a few scissors that shorten the duration of a minute each; being a debut album, however, it is also understandable the desire to overdo it, combined with the lack of experience. Moreover, remembering that it is self-production, perhaps they have not even had the guidance of an experienced producer who could indicate to them the most appropriate changes to streamline the various compositions. On a textual level we find ourselves in front of a concept album that tells the science fiction story of a humanity at war in the distant future; the protagonists are two heroes called Robin and Azra. As for the music, all the instruments have their own space as protagonists and the perfect recording enhances the qualities of all the musicians. If Ground Force will be able to improve in songwriting, making their compositions more effective, already of excellent level, the next album will undoubtedly be a must. Already this "Tree of life" is of great value, convinces and deserves every attention; I hope that some careful label can propose to Ground Force a contract in order to make them known around the world, because they really deserve it! - AllAroundMetal

Ground-Force is a power-metal band from Dhaka, Bangladesh. Primarily planned in 2017, the band was experimenting with its line-up throughout 2018-2019 and finally formed with the current line-up in early 2020.

The Debut Album:
The self-produced, ambitious three-volume debut album 'Tree of Life' has just been digitally released this 13th August, 2021 through global distributorship and under license of cdbaby.

The ‘Tree of Life’ is a concept-album. Story synopsis:
‘Tree of Life’ tells the story of a divided mankind in the far future engaged in the war. ROBIN and AZRA are the unsung heroes. From a dystopian world, they call out for help to space and beyond. Arrival of an unknown being occurs! They demolish the Gamblers of the earth with the SPEAR OF LIGHT. But everything has a cost. THE WATCHERS break the rules and breed monsters! But what will be the end?

Album detail:
The album has been released as a 3-Volume album: with its Volume 1 in English (for the global audience), Volume 2 in Bangla (for the native Bangla population of 180+ million) and the final one, the Volume 3 is an all-instrumental one, with the backing tracks of the album songs. Each volume has seven (07) tracks. This 3-volume, bilingual album with a full instrumental volume approach, has been the first of its kind, not only in Bangladesh, but hopefully in entire South-Asia, to our best knowledge.

The album launch campaign also included, 14 beautifully crafted, fully animated official music videos, currently being premiered one by one, on our official YouTube channel.
