Bio:
What began as a musical experiment in 2018, starting in Reno, NV and moving to Shelton, WA, has now developed into a heavy psychedelic rock experience. The Fantastic Flying Foelschs, starting with a broad variety of influences, narrowed down their focus to heavy riffs and doom foretelling lyrics. They are an independent band, releasing music for free download online on Bandcamp, with the hope to share with as many as possible.

A two-piece band and married couple, Aaron and Haley write, record, and mix all of their music, with Haley covering the punishing drums and Aaron handling guitar riffage. The bass is covered with a similar setup to artists like the White Stripes and Local H, with the guitar split into both guitar amps and a pitch modulated signal going to a bass amp. The Fantastic Flying Foelschs have no plans to slow down the recording process either, with the duo typically releasing at least two releases a year. The two hope to start playing live shows as soon as venues start to re-open and recover from the COVID pandemic.

Their seventh album, “Trapped in the Clutch of the Master”, was released on April 17th, 2021, with a music video released for the title track on Youtube, Instagram, and Facebook. It is a concept album, with themes about trying to escape from reality and the forces of the universe that may seem to have malicious intent. Beginning to end, it is an interesting and at times haunting journey through a dark and cold world.
