That middle eastern twist, those melodies to throw into Arabic is always something that is highly effective. There is something hypnotic and even quite transcendent that these melodies together with a metall on top, still causes their power to increase exponentially. Now "Wala'At" is already the seventh album by the band from Saudi Arabia and brings a key that impresses by the way it manages to be melodic and at the same time grim. Okay, these melodies may point more to the folk side than black metal itself but on the contrary the blasphemy is still very present. It is not a showy record - primitive production also does not allow it to be so - but it is effective in trapping anyone who likes this smell in the Middle East. Liking black metal, too, is just a bonus. - 8/10 - World Of Metal
