From Poland come Kromheim, actually a one man band of musician Mikolak Poplavski, who takes care of everything in this eponymous four track EP. Poplavski founded the Kromheim in 2020 and, the same year, he immediately released this short self-produced work.

Themes and music of clear Scandinavian inspiration, that of Kromheim is a Viking metal, well played and well interpreted, which presents four songs, powerful and melodic enough, dosing both characteristics without exceeding, Poplavski manages to be varied and interesting, passing from pulled and epic songs like "Prayer" and "Revenge" (in the latter the tones are even darker), returning to epic black atmospheres, up to a folk and "party-goer" song like "Freedom".

Let's not talk about marked originality, Amon Amarth are around the corner, but certainly this short work is a very good business card if you love the most epic and warlike melodic death. Faced with the variety of songs, Poplavski's hyper cavernous (and a little effected?) Growling seemed a monotonous thread to me and sometimes it doesn't go well with the music, but there is time to improve this aspect too. For now a disc more than decent for the Kromheim. - All Around Metal

Kromheim is a melodic death metal solo project from Poland with Viking/Folk influences. 

Established in 2020, Kromheim draws its influences mostly from bands such as Hypocrisy , Kalmah , Amon Amarth , Dark Tranquillity all the way to Dissection .

The Kromheim EP features 4 songs with different dynamics. The 2020 Covid-19 lockdown seemed like the perfect opportunity to finally record and release this music to the world.
